2. Server logs

When you visit the site our server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date/time, requested page, user agent) to deliver and secure the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest.

3. Cookies and local storage

We do not set tracking cookies ourselves (for Statcounter and Google see below). Your light/dark theme choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never transmitted.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

To fund the project we use Google AdSense by Google Ireland Ltd. Personalised ads and the cookies they need are only loaded after you consent via the consent banner (Google's certified CMP, IAB TCF). Without consent, non-personalised ads may be shown. You can withdraw consent at any time via the privacy settings link in the banner. More: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

5. Embedded content (click to load)

YouTube videos (privacy-enhanced mode), Spotify and Internet Archive players and OpenStreetMap maps are only loaded when you click on them. Only then is data (including your IP address) sent to the provider.

6. Images and radio streams

Portraits, book covers and podcast artwork are served through our own cache. Radio streams load directly from each station's server when you press play.

7. Analytics

We use Statcounter (StatCounter Ltd., Ireland) for visitor statistics. It processes, among other things, a shortened IP address, pages visited, referrer and browser data, and may set a cookie to recognise returning visitors. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Details: statcounter.com/about/legal. If enabled, we also use Plausible Analytics — no cookies.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
