Art Blakey è stato un musicista jazz (batteria). Nato il 11 ottobre 1919 a Pittsburgh, morto il 16 ottobre 1990 a New York. Lo stile è di solito associato a jazz e bebop. Etichette: Blue Note, Columbia Records e ABC Records. La discografia qui comprende 36 album, da «Vol. 2» (1954) a «Live at the 1972 Monterey Jazz Festival» (2008). Tra i riconoscimenti: Grammy Award alla carriera (2005), NEA Jazz Masters e Paul Acket Award.

Art Blakey, pseudonimo di Arthur Blakey (Pittsburgh, 11 ottobre 1919 – New York, 16 ottobre 1990), è stato un batterista statunitense. Insieme a Kenny Clarke, Max Roach e Buddy Rich, è stato uno degli inventori della tecnica batteristica applicata allo stile bebop.
