Wayne Shorter war ein Jazzmusiker (Saxophon, Tenorsaxophon, Altsaxophon und Sopransaxophon). Wayne Shorter wurde am 25. August 1933 in Newark geboren und starb am 2. März 2023 in Los Angeles. Stilistisch wird die Musik meist Jazz, Fusion und Post bop zugeordnet. Plattenlabels: Blue Note. Die Diskografie umfasst hier 27 Alben, von „Introducing Wayne Shorter“ (1960) bis „Celebration, Volume 1 (Live)“ (2024). Wayne Shorter (* 25. August 1933 in Newark, New Jersey; † 2. März 2023 in Los Angeles) war ein US-amerikanischer Jazz-Saxophonist und -Komponist. Mit John Coltrane und Sonny Rollins gehörte er zur „vordersten Linie“ der Saxophonisten im Modern Jazz. Shorter zählt zu den stilbildenden Künstlern des Jazz. Er gilt als einer der bedeutendsten und einflussreichsten Interpreten der Jazzgeschichte.
