Vanguard Records, founded 1949: jazz artists and albums on the label.
Vanguard Recording Society is an American record label set up in 1950 by brothers Maynard and Seymour Solomon in New York City. It was primarily a classical label during its peak in the 1950s and 1960s, but also has a catalogue of recordings by a number of pivotal jazz, folk, and blues musicians. The Bach Guild was a subsidiary label. The label was acquired by Concord Bicycle Music in April 2015.

In 1990, Arcade Entertainment Holdings acquired (part of) the catalogue from Welk Group and reissued these under the "Vanguard Classics" banner.
Omega Record Group, Inc. did the same in the US, using the same name but a different logo. Some of these were in conjunction with Musical Heritage Society.
In September 1998, Silverminds Music took over Arcade's rights.
