Chick Corea war ein Jazzmusiker (Klavier, Schlagzeug, Klaviatur und Orgel). Chick Corea wurde am 12. Juni 1941 in Chelsea geboren und starb am 9. Februar 2021 in Tampa Bay Area. Stilistisch wird die Musik meist Jazz, Post bop und Avantgarde-Jazz zugeordnet. Plattenlabels: Edition of Contemporary Music und Stretch Records. Die Diskografie umfasst hier 104 Alben, von „Now He Sings, Now He Sobs“ (1968) bis „Trilogy 3“ (2025). Zu den Auszeichnungen zählen Frankfurter Musikpreis (1990), Ehrendoktor der Eastman School of Music (2017) und NEA Jazz Masters Fellowship.

Armando Anthony „Chick“ Corea (* 12. Juni 1941 in Chelsea, Massachusetts; † 9. Februar 2021 in Tampa, Florida) war ein US-amerikanischer Musiker. Er zählt zu den bedeutendsten zeitgenössischen Jazz-Pianisten und -Komponisten und gilt als ein Gründervater des Jazzrock. Chick Corea gewann 29 Grammy Awards (2 davon posthum), nominiert war er insgesamt 75 Mal. Kein anderer Musiker vor ihm hatte im Bereich Jazz so viele Auszeichnungen bekommen.
